Quality:

Within the Vandamme Group the HACCP quality system was implemented In 1997. This was certified in the autumn of 2001: ISO 22000 Food Safety Managements Systems. HACCP is a structured approach that governs the safety of consumer products. The aim of our quality system is to constantly improve organisation, the quality of our products and services, and to enhance the working environment as well as to decrease and prevent the burden on the environment. The Vandamme Group is audited on an annual basis by official certification agencies and clients.

In order to comply with regulations and client requirements, tests are carried out on the final product and also during the various stages of the production process. This allows for the possibility of intervening each time a deviation is observed. Each step in our production process is developed under stringent hygiene conditions and in a closed system, which practically reduces possible contamination to zero.

In addition to the production of refined corn oil, the Vandamme Group also produces by-products: corngermmeal, corn fatty acids and filter cake.

These products are supplied to the feed compounding industry. The Vandamme Group has been certified for these by-products since spring 2002 by OVOCOM: Certificat Good Manufacturing / Managing Practice GMP animal feed for Oliefabriek Vandamme en Repro.

With respect to self-monitoring, traceability is very important to us. Any contamination in our final product or by-products can immediately be traced from the final product to our raw materials, thanks to our quality system. In addition we have the guarantee from our suppliers that raw materials delivered to us can also be traced back to its origin.

Our specialisation in refined corn oil guarantees that the corn oil supplied is always fresh.

Allergens: Refined corn oil is not known as an allergen (European Directive 2003/89/EC). Due to the specialisation of refined corn oil production, there is no question of cross-contamination.

GMOs: In compliance with EU regulations EC/1829/2003 and EC/1830/2003, we only use raw materials from conventional non-GMO origin.

In the area of energy, the Vandamme Group became a member of the Benchmarking Convenant in the autumn of 2003. subsequently an energyplan was made up so that the production can be carried out in the most energy-efficient way.
